Graphic Design 2

Bird Wiser is a miniature encyclopedia of 12 different species of birds,
and creating each logo was conceptually suppose to extrude their strongest physically
characteristics with minimal design.

The process of each logo began with visual research, searching up different angles of each set of
birds. Once visual research was complete I began sketching my initial designs, slowly
eliminating each of the visual research to a more narrow choice of 4 potential logos per bird.
Once each bird was selected from a selection, it was brought in to illustrator only to be
vectored. Each logo came out wonderful, but there were many stages of critiques and
refinements. Each class section was another critique and another refinement, until the final
product of the logo was finished.
Stage two of Project #1 was to create templates in which the each bird had its own info graphic
card design. Templates were drawn and reviewed, so afterwards came to bringing the template
on to indesign. More rigorous critique sessions and feedback to help implement to the final
design process. With more adjustments, we design a box template that will fit a set of 12 cards.
The package design for the set is tested in multiple stages from drawings to 3D prototypes. And
for the final product, a cardholder and 12 sets of unique info-graphic bird cards.
